FALL SOFTBALL

This program offers our recreational players age 5 through 16 yrs old the opportunity to compete against other players in the same age group in a safe and positive environment. Our program goals consist of: 

  • Teach the fundamentals of softball and help each player establish building blocks to improve their skill level as well as game play
  • Become a valuable member of the team by learning what teamwork is and how to incorporate it into their game play
  • Teach sportsmanship by displaying respect towards their teammates, coaches, opponents, and umpires.

Overall, we want to ensure we are creating the opportunity for each player, coach, parent, and volunteer involved to have fun and have an enjoyable experience with JYSA.

  • What gear does my athlete need?: Softball players will need a glove, face mask, batting helmet, and cleats. Pants, socks, and belt color will be determined by coaches after teams are created.
  • How many coaches does each team have?: 6U and 8U are allowed 5 volunteers; 1 Head Coach, 3 Assistant Coaches, 1 Dugout Helper. 10U and older is allowed 3 volunteers; 1 Head Coach, 2 Assistant Coaches.
